I started working for Ozone as a test rider in 2009. I had been kitesurfing for about seven years beforehand while completing high school and competing in some international events. After starting full time with Ozone I continued competing in world tour events in freestyle, racing and wave disciplines for a few years.

I became involved with Ozone through Kitesurfing and that is my favourite related discipline. I used to prefer freestyle coming from a competitive background however nowadays wave riding is my preference.

Surfing is a hobby and passion, being able to ride waves with a kite as an extension of surfing brings another element to such a diverse sport. I enjoy all moments in the ocean and I was very lucky to grow up in a coastal town in New Zealand where we had it on our doorstep – I suppose this has influenced my life as I aim to be close to a beach (and waves) whenever possible!

Being out in the elements testing prototypes, checking and ‘signing off’ a product and seeing others enjoy the equipment are the most satisfying aspects of our job.

The Reo – a renowned wave riding kite that makes any session enjoyable. Whether the surf is blown out in onshore winds or riding cross off reef breaks the Reo excels and makes it all fun!
