Thailand's Narapichit 'Yo' Pudla scored a kitesurf hat trick by winning all three disciplines (Slalom, Freestyle, Hang time) in the final of the 2018 Philippines Kiteboarding Tour held in Cagbalete island. Flying the Edge V9 and riding on the Code V1 he had the winning setup and proudly pushed his level. A big congratulations to Yo from all the Ozone team.
Here's what Yo had to say about the comp:
"It was rush to make all three events on a roll in three weeks. I had received the new Ozone board "CODE" for test and demo just in time before the championship start. The Code V1 board made me Very confident landing my tricks in the heat even with choppy water. Combined with Ozone Edge V9 that give me a very good air time for tricks and very stable in the edge of the wind window zone for unhook tricks. I advanced to 1st in the men's Freestyle X open poduim at my home spot too"
Balok Wind Challenge 2018 - Salom
"I have competed in the Slalom event in Malaysia last weekend and won with Ozone Edge V9. It was very good event with 13-18 Knots and I was on full speed with my 13 and 17m. The Edge V9 is the fastest tube kite in the market now."
Yo has been training Sarun Rupchom (Nay), Thailand's hopeful for the Youth Olympic Games, who having started very strong in this heats, had a couple of unfortunate mistakes and finished an admirable 3rd in the recent Asia & Oceania qualifying event in Thailand. Meaning he will have to battle the fierce competition again for a second chance of a qualifing spot in China at the World Championships.
