What is your background and previous experience?

I started working at Ozone in January 2020. I studied Marketing and Market Research alongside
my kitesurfing career as an Athlete. I was competing in the tour for about 5 complete years and
worked in several departments within the kite industry.
It started with some testings in Cabrinha back in 2015. Then, I took a major project in the R&D
team developing a whole line of products for the freestyle/freeride segment at F-one. At the end
of my competition career, took the role of Social Media Manager and Content Manager at
    Eleveight Kites.

Which Ozone related discipline are you most passionate about?

To be honest, Freestyle has always been in my blood and I enjoy a lot doing it still. However, I am
living in a country where we are a bit limited to certain conditions so I do not do the discipline I
would maybe enjoy the most. I am this kind of rider that thinks that the discipline we choose
should be determined by the conditions we have so I don’t think it is very appropriate or smart to do
Freestyle when you have choppy conditions, trying to do big air and kiteloops with less than 25 knots
or getting a wing in a wide big bay/foam party kind of beach.
So I can say I get truly passionated when I am in Cape Town and have an Edgev11 to send it to
the moon, when I wake up in Greece or Brazil with butter flat water to throw some freestyle tricks
or when I get long wave rides with side off winds for wingfoiling or Reov6 wave riding…

Describe what Freestyle means to you?

It means my life. I have been doing that since I was 10 years old and I can’t imagine a life far from
the watersports that I like. It gives me freedom, a reason to search, travel, meet new people and
discover new places so what I love the most is the package that the sports and disciplines offer
when you get them in your life.
I added Paragliding in my life since day one I started at Ozone and it is incredible how much it
has given me already in two years of practice. I took it at a very strange, hard and interesting
moment of my life, it radically changed it and the way I looked at it. Checking things from above
and different heights do make an impact of how you would afterwards look around you once in
the ground. This same kind of feeling came with kitesurfing or wing sports in day one.

What’s your favourite part of working for Ozone?

I think I can describe with three points:
1: Unpacking and trying new product samples of a finished product.
2: When all things go as planned during a photoshoot, when we have great wind/waves
conditions for it and clips come together.
3: When during a working day, all the office drop the laptops and we go to Port de la Selva for a
sick wing session together, testing, planning and discussing on some matters being perhaps way
more productive than sitting in our desks. I think this is such a good team building activity.

What is your favourite Ozone piece of equipment and why?

Enduro V3 and Edge v11. I don’t have to sell or talk about them here because everyone knows
how incredible these two kites are.
